Drivers

Drive for the family next door to the port.

Local container work, dispatch that plans before it calls, and a company where the fourth generation still knows every driver's name.

  • TWIC-credentialed drivers
  • EPA SmartWay partner
  • Certificates of insurance on request

The pre-trip is where a clean day starts

Home daily. Actually.

Port work is local work. Our lanes live inside the NY / NJ metro and its natural spokes — you sleep in your own bed, every night, without that being a recruiting trick.

Dispatch that does its job

Appointments booked, availability verified, empty returns matched before you roll. Our operating platform exists so drivers don't eat gate rejections for the office's mistakes — the move is planned before it's yours.

A family, not a fleet number

Four generations of Essenfelds have run trucks at this port since 1918. The person who decides how drivers are treated has the same last name as the sign — and answers the same phone you do.

Steady freight, steady weeks

Container work doesn't chase the spot market. The gates open every morning, the boxes keep coming, and a driver's week looks the same in February as it does in October.

What we ask

  • CDL-A with a clean, insurable record
  • TWIC card (or willingness to obtain — we'll walk you through it)
  • SeaLink / port credentials a plus; we help new port drivers get credentialed
  • Port, rail, or heavy local experience valued — port rookies with solid road records considered

New to port credentials? Our guide to TWIC, SeaLink, and PortTruckPass explains the whole stack — and we help serious candidates through the process.
